The most successful field trips are ones that integrate into your students’ learning with both pre and post activities. Our idea generators are designed as a framework from which you can take ideas and adapt them to the needs of your students. These ideas, which encourage cross-curriculum teaching, are organized according to modes and levels of engagement. Many of the ideas support research, project and group-based, and are adaptable for all grade levels.
Based on the 42-Grid Matrix devised by Ralph Pirozzo, the idea generators combine Bloom’s Taxonomy of thinking strategies with diverse modes of engagement as proposed by Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences.
