What is timed ticketing?

Timed ticketing offers select times to enjoy Longwood's displays and exhibits. With a timed ticket, a pre-established number of guests enter during each interval, allowing guests to enjoy shorter lines and a better viewing experience.

I am a Member. Do I need a timed ticket?

Members and guests covered by your Membership require free reservations after 2:00 pm on Peak Days during A Longwood Christmas. Reservations limited. Chimes Tower Level Members do not require reservations. Guests not covered under a Membership require a timed admission ticket. Complimentary Guest Tickets may not be used during Peak Days.

How much does a timed ticket cost?

Prices—through November 27, 2013

Adults: $18
Seniors (ages 62+): $15
Students (ages 5–18, or any age with valid student ID): $8
Children age 4 & under: Free

Prices—A Longwood Christmas, November 28, 2013–January 12, 2014

Peak days are all Saturdays and Sundays from November 28–January 12 and the week of December 26–31, from 9:00 am–10:00 pm.

What are the timed ticketing times?

Tickets are sold to allow entry during half-hour intervals from 9 am until an hour before the Gardens close.

When is the best time to visit during A Longwood Christmas?

The best times to visit the Christmas display are on non-peak days, especially early in the week (Monday–Wednesday). Not only will you save money with our non-peak ticket prices, but you will also enjoy fewer crowds in the Gardens! To avoid disappointment, purchase a ticket for your desired date and time as soon as possible.

What if we arrive late, after our entry time?

Longwood will make every effort to accommodate late arrivals, but we recommend you plan to enter during your scheduled time to better enjoy your experience. If you arrive within one half hour of your scheduled time you will likely be able to enter the Gardens immediately. However if you arrive more than one half hour from your scheduled time you may need to wait for the next available time slot.

Will we have to leave at a specified time?

No, timed tickets apply to entrance times only. You are welcome to stay until closing, no matter what time you enter.

We didn’t know about timed ticketing. Will we be admitted?

Longwood Gardens will make every effort to accommodate guests without timed tickets. However, if all times are sold out then you may need to return on a different day.

Do children need timed tickets?

Children ages 4 and under are admitted free and do not require a ticket. Children ages 5 and older do require a timed ticket.
