Carillonneur Ellen Dickinson performs a delightful concert on Longwood's 62-bell carillon.
Ellen Dickinson received a Master of Music degree in organ from the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in music from Yale College.
In June 2000, she became a member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America by playing a successful advancement recital at the annual congress, held that year in Frederick, Maryland.
Currently Ellen serves on the Board of Directors of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America, and is on the jury for the GCNA advancement exam committee. She is Editor of The Bulletin, the GCNA's annual scholarly publication.
Tour the Chimes Tower and Meet the Carillonneur following the performance! See a bird’s eye view of the Gardens in full bloom from the top of the tower. Ellen Dickinson will be on hand to answer questions and show the bells up close.
We hope you will join us for more Carillon Concerts and also enjoy learning more about our carillon.
