Carillon Conference Tower Tour

Conference registrants will enjoy a day-long bus tour of Philadelphia-area carillon towers.

Tower Tour Stop 1:

The Shelmerdine Memorial Carillon at the First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG)

Tour the instrument and enjoy performances by Class of 2008 recitalists Margaret Pan and Wesley Arai.

Tower Tour Stop 2:

Miraculous Medal Shrine

Tour this wonderful instrument and enjoy a recital by Class of 2008 recitalist Jason Lee.

Tower Tour Stop 3:

The Catherine Colt Dickey Memorial Carillon at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Whitemarsh
Lisa Lonie, Carillonneur

Enjoy a guest recital by Barnes Scholar Carol Anne Taylor, tour the instrument, attend the daily member business meeting and partake in an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak for lunch!

Tower Tour Stop 4:

The Washington Memorial National Carillon at the Washington  Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge National Historical Park
Doug Gefvert, Carilonneur

Tour the instrument and enjoy recitals by John Courter and Carlo van Ulft.  Stay for the Pizza Party generously provided by The Verdin Company.
