Christmas Display Assistant

Supervisor: Section Gardener—East Conservatory

Department: Horticulture

Function: To help create decorations for Longwood’s Christmas display, primarily for trees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Put together ornaments and decorations as instructed.

Requirements/Expectations:

• Artistic or crafting experience helpful but not required
• Punctual and dependable
• Complete required orientation and training
• Follow Longwood Gardens’ policies, procedures, and standards
• Read the Volunteer Handbook and follow procedures therein
• Purchase and wear safety shoes

Time Required:

• Minimum of 1 day/week when work is available. This can begin any time during the summer months (each year is different).
• Friday, 9 AM–3 PM is preferred; a group of people works that day
• Other days may be considered
