Conservatory Children's Garden Assistant

Function: Assist with maintenance of horticultural displays in the Conservatory Children's Garden

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Groom plants, including deadheading, watering, pruning, and replacing
• Assist with daily and seasonal display changes
• Assist with seasonal display preparation, including Christmas tree lighting

Requirements/Expectations:

• Willingness to interact with other volunteers, students, employees, and visitors
• Punctual and dependable; able to work 7-10 AM
• Able to lift 45 lbs.
• Complete required orientation and training
• Follow Longwood Gardens’ policies, procedures, and standards
• Purchase and wear safety shoes

Time Required:

• Minimum of 1 day/week 7-10 AM
