Data Management

Function:

Organize and manage computerized data relevant to the operation of various Longwood divisions and groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Longwood staff in organizing and managing data, address lists, correspondence, etc.
  • Perform data entry and merge date files in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
  • Establish and maintain address lists and merged correspondence
  • Manage data for special projects such as: Bird Survey, Longwood Chimes Index, etc.

Requirements/Expectations:

  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and e-mail use
  • Strong verbal skills and ability to interact comfortably with Longwood staff
  • Complete required orientation and training
  • Follow Longwood Gardens' policies, procedures, and standards
  • This volunteer position can be shared by more than one volunteer

Time Required:

  • Weekly hours, depending on need
  • Work can be done at Longwood as well as on a home computer
