Greenhouse Production Assistant

Function: Assist in production of crops and/or plants for display in Longwood's Conservatory

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pot and repot, stake and tie, pinch and prune, groom, and water plants
• Create and care for topiaries
• Operate seed machine
• Propagate plants by taking cuttings
• Mix soil and fill pots
• Create and make hanging baskets

Requirements/Expectations:

• Willingness to interact with visitors, students, and staff.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Purchase and wear safety shoes.
• Complete required orientation and training.
• Follow Longwood Gardens' policies, procedures, and standards.

Time Required:

• Three to twelve hours per week.
