Enjoy a day of learning at Longwood Gardens! Home school students or learning co-ops have a unique opportunity to engage with other students their age. Curriculum lessons are designed to meet National Education Standards for grades K-8, while incorporating garden-based hands on activities to excite students.
Students discover the connection of living systems as they investigate why flowering plants have co-evolved with their pollinator partners for millions of years. By identifying adaptations of plants and pollinators students will gain an appreciation of this delicate relationship.
Students will embark on an artistic garden voyage that explores the enticing world of garden-inspired art. The study and interpretation of Impressionist artist Claude Monet will serve as inspiration for students to create their own garden-inspired work using developmentally appropriate media and techniques.
