The 2010 International Gardener Training Program application is now available. The application can be completed using Microsoft Word. You may complete the application electronically and email it to EDU-Studies@longwoodgardens.org or print the application and send it to the address on the application.
A selection committee of Longwood staff reviews the applications. Generally, two or three students are chosen for each start date. After receiving written confirmation from the selected individuals, Longwood petitions the United States Immigration Service for a J-1 Visa. The J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa requires students to return to their country of origin after completion of the program.
Individuals interested in beginning the program in late February 2010 must apply by September 1, 2009.
Individuals interested in beginning the program in September 2010 must apply by March 1, 2010.
