Discover the hidden secrets of the Children's Garden with a scavenger hunt. Stop by the Children’s Curiosity Cart located in the Bamboo Maze to pick up a scavenger hunt card—each one geared to different ages and abilities.
Discover a xylophone in the Grotto Cave and play with other musical props throughout the Garden. There is always something new to find! For a complete list of our exciting activities throughout the Gardens, pick up a Children's Map in the Visitor Center.
The garden is handicap accessible. A surrounding walkway allows “grown” children to enjoy the garden as well as keep an eye on the action. With 17 fountains in the garden to enjoy, children will want to splash and play, so an extra shirt or small towel might come in handy.
Visit Longwood's online plant database, Plant Explorer, to learn more about the plants in the Indoor Children's Garden.
