Information for Registered Students

Our Confirmation Letter is your ticket to Longwood

  • For the entire day on the day the class or lecture meets.
  • For the duration of a Series I or II course, anytime Longwood is open, except during special events that require additional ticketing.

If you lose your confirmation, contact the Continuing Education office 610-388-1000, ext. 507 or 516.

No children or guests will be allowed to attend classes unless registered.

Entrance to Longwood and Parking

Use the Business Entrance on Conservatory Road:

  • For classes or lectures in the Horticulture Building (Acer, Betula, Catalpa Rooms)
    Special Events Pavilion, Ballroom, or Potting Shed.
  • To use the Library.

Use the Main Entrance and Visitor Parking Lot

  • For classes in the Visitor Center Auditorium

Special Needs

  • Special needs parking is available in both the Visitor Center lot and the Business Entrance upper lot.
  • For any special needs you may have, please call the Continuing Education office 610-388-1000, ext. 516.

Library

  • The Longwood library is not a lending library, however students registered for classes may use the library 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

Class Cancellation due to Inclement Weather 

  • Visit www.cancellations.com  and enter Longwood's zip code, 19348.
  • Call the Continuing Education Office 610-388-1000, ext. 507, 516, or 559 for information about cancellations. You will hear a voice recording prior to 8:00 am and after 5:00 pm weekdays and on weekends.
  • Decisions to cancel or postpone will be made at least one hour prior to class, based upon the weather conditions at Longwood. Please use your own judgment on road conditions in your area.
  • No rain dates are planned unless noted.

Miscellaneous Information

  • Please dress according to the weather for all outdoor sessions. 
  • Classroom doors open one-half hour before starting time.
  • Smoking is not permitted indoors anywhere at Longwood.
  • Vending Machines are available in the Horticulture Building for drinks and snacks.

Wait Lists are maintained for all sold out classes.

To be placed on a waiting list, register by phone, mail or fax. We will contact wait-listed students if space opens up.

Saturday, June 21; 9:00 am–12:00 pm

Think of nature as art. Our instructor will show you how to create a sculpture with natural wood pieces and then design  flowers to complement the wooden form. You’re going to love these unique designs!
