Kid's Storytime Assistant

Function:

Assist Visitor Education Interns with the craft activity portion of the Kid's Storytime session involving children (ages 3-5 years).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in setup of room and placing of materials for the craft activity
• Assist intern in facilitating the craft session
• Work with children and parents to complete the craft
• Assist in cleanup of room

Requirements/Expectations:

• Genuine interest in working with young children and parents of young children
• Patience with children
• Interest in completing setup and cleanup of children’s activities
• Interest and knowledge of horticulture and gardening topics is helpful
• Complete required orientation and training
• Follow Longwood Gardens' policies, procedures, and standards

Time Required:

• One morning weekly, January-May and September-November
