Managed Meadow Bloom Log Team

Function: Assist other Volunteers in preparing seasonal bloom log of Longwood's Managed Meadow

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make regular visits to Longwood's Managed Meadow during the bloom season to observe plants in bloom and record data in cooperation with other Longwood Volunteers

Requirements/Expectations:

• Make regular visits to Longwood's Managed Meadow during the bloom season
• Work in cooperation or in teams with other Longwood Volunteers
• Knowledge and interest in native plants will be useful
• Coordinate visits with other Volunteers
• Record observations on Managed Meadow plant list
• Participate in team meetings when possible
• Follow Longwood Gardens’ policies, procedures, and standards

Time Required:

• Regularly scheduled visits to the Managed Meadow may be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
• Individual walks in meadow require two to three hours, or more depending on available time and individual interest
• Team meetings are scheduled periodically as needed (Feb., Sept., and November)
