Peirce's Woods

Function:

Assist gardening staff in the maintenance of the woodland gardens and meadows in the Peirce's Woods area

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plant, prune, mulch, water, and deadhead plants as needed
  • Clean walks and paths
  • Divide herbaceous plants
  • Assist staff with other work as needed
  • Assist with display changes

Requirements/Expectations:

  • Able to weed without kneeling on ground.
  • Able to work under fluctuating weather conditions.
  • Complete required orientation and training
  • Follow Longwood Gardens’ policies, procedures and standards
  • Able to accept direction and guidance from work supervisor
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Must purchase safety shoes

Time Required:

  • Minimum of one shift per week
  • Mornings, Monday-Friday, 7:00-11:30 AM
