Our hands-on, curriculum-based programs are cultivated to expand learning beyond the classroom walls!
Explore the possibilities when Arts & Humanities, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science & Technology and Social Studies are taught on location in amazing garden settings.
Tailored to grade bands K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12, each program features people and places that are uniquely Longwood, while connecting to National Education Standards. These guidelines should help you ensure that the programs you select fit within your state’s curriculum and build on your classroom goals.
Programs are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 9:30 and 12:00, and are approximately 90 minutes in length.
For specific program questions, please contact Kate Wachtmeister, School & Youth Programs Coordinator at kwachtmeister@longwoodgardens.org. To sign up to receive periodic emails about our curriculum programs and upcoming events for educators, click here.
