Girl Scout Day: April 17, 2010
Brownies and Juniors are invited to explore Longwood Gardens while earning try-its or badges! Sign up for one or both programs. Space is limited. Rain or Shine event.
Cost: $5.00 per scout, $5.00 per chaperone; Troop Leaders are FREE

10:00 AM Fun in the Forest Try It (Brownies)
Earn the "Fun in the Forest" Try It and discover the living and non-living elements that exist in the forest ecosystem. Scouts will explore the trails, investigate the parts of a tree, identify leaves, and more!
10:00 AM Earth Connections Badge (Juniors)
Junior scouts will become ecologists as they explore ecosystems at Longwood Gardens. Scouts will record biodiversity index, see how environments change over time, identify trees, and discover plant and people relationships.
1:00 PM Plants Try It (Brownies)
Brownies explore the exciting world of plants! Create leaf rubbings, identify leave shapes, learn plant parts, and pot a plant to take home.
1:00 PM Finding Your Way Badge (Juniors)
Learn to read a map and find your way around Longwood Gardens. Juniors identify types of maps and their uses, learn cardinal directions, and navigate an orienteering course!
