Slide Manager

Function: Organize, label, and file incoming and returned slides.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, label, and file slides
  • Organize backlog of slides
  • Assist patrons in locating and checking out slides
  • Keep accurate inventory of slides and slide supplies
  • Help develop and create a web index of the slide collection
  • Carry out other tasks as required under the direction of the Library Assistant

Requirements/Expectations:

  • Ability to identify plants, areas, and events around Longwood Gardens
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (requires general PC knowledge)
  • Complete required orientation and training
  • Follow Longwood Gardens policies, procedures, and standards
  • Familiarity with the Longwood Gardens Library Procedures Manual

Time Required:

  • Four hours per week
  • This position may be filled by more than one volunteer
