Student Housing Handyperson

Function: Assist with the maintenance of the resident student housing on Longwood grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete non-licensed carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs in student housing
• Install minor hardware and decorations
• Conduct regular fire extinguisher inspection

Requirements/Expectations:

• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency with minor hand and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair household items
• Accept and follow direction and guidance of supervisor
• Complete required orientation and training
• Excellent communication skills
• Follow Longwood Gardens’ policies, procedures, and standards
• Be punctual and dependable
