First Friday in February
This daylong symposium hosted by the Professional Gardener Alumni Association of Longwood Gardens and is sponsored by Longwood Gardens and Chanticleer Foundation. The symposium boasts a diverse lineup of speakers and features a plant sale with an eclectic offering of plants, books and tools. Symposium registrants will also gain access to the gardens and will be treated to a warm buffet lunch.

The third annual North American Clivia Show at Longwood will be held March 17 & 18, 2012. All clivia growers are encouraged to enter their personal plants into the show, and there will be an amateur category if you are entering a plant for the first time! Watch a video about how to get your plant to bloom in time the show. Find out more about the show rules.
Longwood is donating plants to local schools for entry into competition. If you are a teacher and would like a plant for your class to grow and groom for entry into the show, contact Alan Petravich at apetravich@longwoodgarden.org. If you are interested in helping with the show or want more information, please contact Mike Riska merlad43@comcast.net or Alan Petravich. A limited number of Clivia ‘Longwood Debutante’ will be available for sale in the gift shop.
