Daily Visitor Programs

Visitors are continuously learning as they walk through Longwood Gardens. Daily interactive activities include discovery stations, gardener demonstrations, plant walks, history talks and behind-the-scenes tours.

Daily learning opportunities for children include kid's storytimes and garden adventures, a self-guided conservatory stamp hunt, a kid's map, and the Seek & Find family activity guide in the Heritage Exhibit of the Peirce-du Pont House.

Pick up a "Map & Guide" in the Visitor Center for listings of times and locations of programs. "Meet Here" signs found in the Garden indicate the starting point and location for each event.

Discover how things work behind-the-scenes of the world’s premier display garden. Join Longwood’s gardeners, tradesmen, students, and volunteers on 20-30 minute walking tours of non-public areas. Tours lead visitors behind-the-scenes at the Italian Water Garden, Longwood’s power supply, the Main Fountain Garden, Open Air Theatre, and state-of-the-art Production Greenhouses.

Opportunities for learning change daily through the Gardens depending on season and time of day. Please check the events listing to view the programs scheduled during your visit. Visitors may encounter a variety of activities that spark their interests including the following:
