Performers

Dianne Reeves - 4:30 pm

Dianne Reeves is the pre-eminent jazz vocalist in the world today. As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Reeves received the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings—a Grammy first in any vocal category.

Reeves appeared in George Clooney’s Good Night, and Good Luck, the Academy Award nominated film that chronicles Edward R. Murrow’s confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy. The soundtrack recording of Good Night, and Good Luck provided Reeves her fourth Best Jazz Vocal Grammy in 2006.

Wycliffe Gordon Quartet - 3 pm

Wycliffe Gordon experiences an impressive career touring the world performing hard-swinging, straight-ahead jazz receiving great acclaim from audiences and critics alike. He is well known for his unmatched modern mastery of the plunger mute, exceptional technique and signature sound.

Gordon regularly tours leading the Wycliffe Gordon Quartet, headlining at legendary jazz venues and performing arts centers throughout the world. Gordon is a former veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet, Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and has been a featured guest artist on Billy Taylor's "Jazz at the Kennedy Center" Series.

Dominick Farinacci Quintet - 1:30 pm

28-year-old NYC-based jazz trumpeter Dominick Farinacci, recipient of first place honors in the Carmine Caruso International Trumpet Competition, is touring in support of his 2nd U.S. release, Dawn of Goodbye (Eone Music), following 7 critically acclaimed CD’s as a leader in Japan.

Dominick has headlined at many major festivals and clubs including Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Birdland, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, and both the Toronto and Montreal Jazz Festivals in Canada. He has performed and/or recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Barron, Joe Lovano, Jimmy Heath and Benny Golson.

Joe Baione Quintet - 12:00 pm

Joe Baione is a professional jazz vibraphonist, educator, clinician and producer. By day, he is an energetic and highly creative band teacher and by night he continues that high energy, passion and creativity in his jazz performances.

Baione has performed at the prestigious Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in Montego Bay, the Temecula Valley Jazz Festival, The Cape May Jazz Festival, The Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Festival, and The Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. Performance venues include: The Jazz Bakery, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in NYC's Lincoln Center, The Kimmel Center and Zanzibar Blue in Philadelphia, and Sydney's Blues and Jazz Restaurant.

Education

Cooking Demonstrations with Executive Chef Michael Giampa and Pastry Chef Amelia Dietrich of Paramour at the Wayne Hotel at 12:30 and 2:30 pm. Executive Chef Giampa will be cooking Tuna Pokes and Pastry Chef Dietrich will be making Steamed Lemon Pudding Cakes.

Wine Education Sessions with Frank Pagliaro from Frank's Union Wine Mart in Wilmington, DE at 1:30 and 3:30 pm.

Dining Options

Enjoy a specially-made picnic basket during the Festival. Each basket includes three cheeses and accompaniments, assorted crackers and pita, hummus, whole strawberries, bunches of grapes, salad, a small baguette, and two bottles of water. $65, $58 for Members. Purchase the picnic basket online.
