Kennett Symphony of Chester County

The Kennett Symphony, founded in 1940, takes center stage with Renaissance to Ragtime, an evening of brass and percussion selections in June and Gershwin at the Gardens, featuring two of Gershwin’s masterpieces in August.

Saturday, June 22 – Renaissance to Ragtime

A musical extravaganza with the Kennett Symphony’s full brass and percussion sections: music from the Renaissance to the present including classical, pops, and jazz performed with panache.

Saturday, August 10 – Gershwin at the Gardens

Two of Gershwin’s masterpieces fusing jazz and symphonic music—one for orchestra which lives on through the cinema and the other his dramatic opera set on Catfish Row.
