Senior Days

On Monday and Tuesday, April 16 &17, enjoy a day of activities, gardens talks and walks, and an afternoon performance. 

Schedule:

Flower Arranging Demonstration: 10:30 am
Cooking Demonstration: 11:30 am

Both days feature a silent movie accompanied by organ music on Longwood’s thunderous 10,010- pipe Aeolian Organ in the Ballroom at 2 pm.

  • On April 16, Wayne Zimmerman will perform two shorts: The Rink (1916), starring Charlie Chaplin, and The Bell Boy (1918), starring Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, Al St. John, and Buster Keaton.
  • On April 17, Don Kinnier will perform The Eagle (1925), starring Rudolph Valentino.

On Monday, enjoy a guided walk through Mr. du Pont’s Flower Garden and on Tuesday, walk among Longwood’s grand trees during a Championship Tree Walk at 1:00 pm in the Open Air Theatre.  

Our open-air tram runs continuously, from the Visitor Center to the Conservatory.
