Volunteering

Volunteering at Longwood Gardens builds social and professional contacts, increases knowledge and skills, and adds to personal growth. You will become a part of the organization and represent Longwood Gardens to hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Volunteers play a key role in the success of our programs and in the comfort and experience of our visitors. Currently, over 860 Volunteers are assisting in almost every facet of the Gardens' operations. These Volunteers contributed more than 47,758 hours of service in 2010.

Volunteers will, in turn, contribute new and often unique skills, ideas, and experience to the organization; Longwood staff will benefit both professionally and personally through their interactions with our Volunteers.
