This class will discuss the basic types of garden tools, as well as different tool materials and qualities that a home gardener might need. To ensure you're properly equipped to help your garden thrive, there will be a deep dive into the caring of garden tools—including supplies for care and maintenance, disassembly and reassembly, cleaning, sharpening, oiling, and wood care. Students are welcome to bring 2–3 of their own hand tools—pruners, loppers, hedge shears, shovels, and more—from home for an opportunity for hands-on practice.
